Duties and Responsibilities: All classic players are expected to make sure they maintain the appropriate balance between their team requirements, school work and other extracurricular activities. Triangle United is aware that our players have important personal responsibilities such as family and school. Players selecting to play classic soccer must understand the time requirements this commitment entails and make sure that it will fit into their individual schedules. All players are expected to attend all of their team's training, practices, games and tournaments.
Salary:  Soccer might be the world's most popular sport, but in the United States, its popularity ranks far behind the big four professional sports: baseball, football, hockey and basketball. The salaries for professional soccer players in Major League Soccer reflect this. Soccer players, particularly rookies, often make much less than their counterparts in other sports, and the gap between top pay and bottom pay is enormous.
Education: Training in soccer player field along with physical fitness training for an athlete.
Athletic training at college level.
Candidate must have qualified for athletic scholarship awarded in the field of soccer/Football.
Must have played hockey at school or college level to become certified football player.
Demand for this profession: As part of our continuing effort to service and educate our membership, each Thursday we will post an informative article from one of our departments. Once a week, you can read an article the we hope enhances your enjoyment and knowledge of the game of soccer - on and off the field. On the second Thursday of each month, we will look into the world of the sports medicine. This week, we examine the amount of running an average player does in a high-level soccer game.
